Pedal the Petrified 2026

Pedal the Petrified is back. NPC Friends & Family hosts this non-competitive cycling tour through Petrified Forest National Park to raise money for Northland Pioneer College student scholarships. Pick your distance: a 100 km round trip from Painted Desert Inn/Kachina Point, or a 50 km one-way ride to Rainbow Forest with a free shuttle back for you and your bike. Sag stops about every five miles keep riders stocked with water and snacks, and the route rolls right through the Painted Desert and the petrified wood in the south end of the park.

The ride is capped at 250 riders, helmets are required, and kids 10 and up can ride with an adult. Packet pickup is Friday September 25 from 3 to 9 pm at the NPC Painted Desert Campus in Holbrook. Registration is open on Active.com.
