Entrance to Petrified Forest National Park is free on October 27 in honor of Theodore Roosevelt’s birthday. Cooler fall weather makes it a great day to walk the trails and see the painted desert and petrified logs east of Holbrook. Free entrance applies to US citizens and residents. Other fees may still apply.
